Boxing sparring review
Sparring doesn't end at the bell.
Record the round. Get it back split into clips. Your coach marks the exact moment it went wrong, then sends the exercise that fixes it. Walk into the next spar with a plan built on your own footage.
- Free plan, no card needed
- Notes tied to the second
- Built for coach and boxer

The loop
Every round has a lesson in it
Most sparring gets filmed and never watched again. PostSpar closes the gap between a good session and a real correction.
-
01
Record the round
Round timer, interval bell, and a camera that knows what a sparring session looks like. Put the phone on a tripod and box.
-
02
Get it back as clips
The session comes back split into short exchanges. Swipe through, keep what matters, drop the rest.
-
03
Your coach marks the moment
Notes and ratings land on the exact second. Not "keep your guard up", but the frame where it dropped.
-
04
Train the fix
Every note can become an exercise with rounds, rest and a heart-rate target, assigned to the days you train.

For boxers
See yourself the way your coach sees you
- Record sparring with a round timer and a bell, then get it back as clips.
- Watch the exact moment your guard dropped, at a quarter speed.
- Open your week and find the exercises built from what the footage showed.
- Keep your record, your weight and your bouts in one place.
For coaches
Scale your eye past the hours you are in the gym
- Review every student on your own time, not only between rounds.
- Anchor a note to the second so the correction cannot be misread.
- Build an exercise library once and assign it per boxer, per weekday.
- Prescribe effort as a share of max heart rate and see if they held it.
What is in it
Everything the loop runs on
Capture and edit
Round and interval recorder with a bell. Trim on a filmstrip, slow it to a quarter speed, crop to the action.
Clips
Sessions arrive already broken into exchanges. Approve with a swipe, save the ones worth studying, send the rest to your coach.
Coach review
Written notes and ratings tied to the timestamp, so feedback points at something instead of describing it.
Training
A library your coach builds, assigned per weekday. Guided sessions count your rounds and rest, and log what you finished.
Heart rate
Pair a Bluetooth strap for live zones round by round. Coaches can prescribe effort as a share of your max, with alerts when you drift.
Chat
Voice messages, replies and read receipts between you and your corner, with the clip you are talking about attached.
Record and profile
Bouts with footage attached, wins and losses, weight, reach and stance. Your record in one place instead of a notes app.
Gyms and community
Follow gyms, share rounds to the feed, and find coaches taking new students.
Before you install
Straight answers
Do I need a coach to use it?
No. You can record, clip and study your own rounds on your own. The app is better with a coach in it, and you can invite yours or find one taking students.
What does it cost?
The app is free to download, and the free plan covers the loop it is built around: record the round, get it back as clips, review it with your coach, and train what they assign. Install it and run a full session before you decide anything.
Coaches set their own prices. Some offer paid reviews and some do not, and when you buy one you are paying that coach. We may add premium plans later that unlock more, and we will say what is changing before it changes.
Is my sparring footage private?
Yes. Clips stay between you and the people you send them to. Nothing reaches the feed unless you put it there.
Does it work for other combat sports?
It is built around boxing sparring, and the recorder, clipping and review work the same for kickboxing or MMA rounds.
Is there an iPhone version?
Yes. PostSpar is on the App Store and on Google Play. One account covers both, so a boxer on iPhone and a coach on Android work the same session.
